Art Journal #105: Grid Drawing

One of the exercises I like to do in my journal is a grid drawing. I start by coming up with a theme for the grid, in the example I used birds. Choose any theme you like. We want to see how the subject changes from first box in the grid to the last box in the grid.
Materials: Sketching pencils, charcoal or paint
Step #1: Draw  a grid in your journal, it can be a single page or a spread.

Step #2: Start drawing your theme in the first box and just continue until you fill up all the boxes.
Step #3: Label your boxes
Step #4: Notice how the the images change as you fill up the boxes.

This project should be completed in one sitting.
